You’ve still got time to visit the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture’s exhibit Luminious, featuring works of art by famous glass artist, Dale Chihuly.

If you visit this Friday and Saturday, there’s an added bonus. In order to give guests a more hands on experience, they’ve set up a mobile glass blowing studio in the parking lot! The Museum of Glass in Tacoma brought everything from talented artists to furnaces that reach up to 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit!

“Seeing what and how something comes together from start to finish and the process, I think engages all ages, not just adults,” said Katie Staib, Director of Education for the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture.

The whole process is shown from choosing colors, to molding the glass and of course, blowing it in to the shape of the creation they are making!

Glass blowing demonstrations will only be at the museum Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6 from 10am to 5pm.
