You can now ask Alexa for 4 News Now flash briefings

Digital voice assistants like Amazon's Alexa have become household staples.

SPOKANE, Wash. — “Alexa, what’s in the news?”

4 News Now is excited to announce the launch of local news updates on your Amazon Alexa devices.

Here’s what you have to do:

Open your Amazon Alexa app
Click menu
Open skills & games
Search for KXLY 4 News Now
Click “Enable”

4 News Now will update the Alexa flash briefing in the mornings and afternoons Monday through Friday.

Once you ask Alexa for an update, you’ll hear a handful of news stories and a weather update from 4 News Now personalities like Derek Deis, Robyn Nance, Nia Wong and Aaron Luna.
