WSU’s new head football coach buys round for Coug fans at Seattle pub
SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Cougar fans were treated to a round by Washington State University’s new head football coach Nick Rolovich on Sunday.
Rolovich sent out a tweet asking where fans were hanging out in Seattle and ended up at the Cougar-owned Magnolia Village Pub.
Coug fans showed up and joined the coach for beers, wings and, according to Rolovich himself, brussel sprouts.
“It’s something I didn’t expect, to be honest, at that level and the passion of the fan base,” Rolovich said in an interview with KOMO. “It’s very consistent, I think the pride is at a high level and just wanted to come and buy some beers for the Cougs.”
Rolovich was announced as the new head coach last week. He’s quickly gotten down to business; on Sunday, Wyoming’s Jake Dickert was announced as the new defensive coordinator. Rolovich was in Seattle as part of a recruiting trip.
