WSU Looking To Get Back On Track

CORVALLIS, OR — After their most trying stretch of basketball since propelling onto the national radar last season, the Cougars are attempting to gain some much needed momentum Thursday when they face off against the worst team in the PAC 10.

Both Oregon State and Washington State enter their showdown in Corvallis with something to prove. WSU is looking for their second straight win after weathering a stretch where they lost three in a row and four out of five, falling from a top 5 program to a top 25 one.

Oregon State is looking for their first conference win.

This is the second time these two PAC 10 foes have met this season. In Pullman, on January 17th, the Cougars coasted to a 69-46 win behind a combined 32 points between Aron Baynes and Derrick Low.

Things haven’t gotten any better for the Beavers since then. They’re 0-11 in conference, with all but two of the games ending in a double-digit blowout. OSU’s last win came on December 19th of last year, when they beat lowly Northern Colorado of the Big Sky Conference.

The game tips off at 5:30 Thursday night and will be carried locally on radio at KXLY 920 AM. Coverage there begins at 5 p.m.
