Prosecutor’s office will not bring charges in case of injured teacher

WSU instructor Dr. David Warner was released from Sacred Heart Medical Center on Wednesday, following a severe beating in March. He is now at North Idaho Advanced Care hospital in Post Falls for rehab.

According to court documents, Warner tried breaking up a shouting match between an acquaintance and three other men outside a Pullman bar. Warner was then tackled and punched multiple times, leaving him critically injured.

Robert Bean, 22, John “Matt” Cabanos-Soriano, 22, and Joshua Nantz, 23, are the three suspects accused of beating up Warner. WSU student Madeline Fouts, 21, is accused of rendering criminal assistance and lying to police.

Prosecutors have not filed charges against the suspects yet. They are waiting for Pullman police to finish their investigation.
