WSDOT crews to seal I-90 bridge decks this week; expect added travel time, delays
SNOQUALMIE, Wash. — Anyone planning to drive on I-90 needs to plan for added travel time and delays in the upcoming days.
Washington State Department of Transportation crews will be working to seal the bridge decks across the Franklin Falls and Denny Creek bridges beginning at 8 a.m. Monday. The work — which requires 24-hour lane closures westbound between mileposts 50 and 51, just west of the summit of Snoqualmie Pass — is scheduled to conclude at 3 p.m. Thursday.
This work is part of a 15-mile improvement project that includes adding a new lane in each direction, building wildlife crossings and stabilizing rock slopes.
Still ahead is rock blasting in August and September. That will also be a Monday-through-Thursday project and will cause some closures.
