Wrong-Way Driver Goes Airborne, Crashes Car
SPOKANE — A wrong-way driver on a Spokane street caused a major wreck Thursday morning.
Police say the 27 year old driver, Chris Foiles, was driving under the influence of an illegal drug and speeding the wrong way down Freya at sixty miles an hour just before midnight on Wednesday.
Foiles hit a median at Freya and Hartson, went airborne for about 30 feet and smashed into the back of another car. Then Foiles’ car caught on fire.
Foiles and the driver of the car he hit both suffered minor injuries.
