Wrong way crash kills two drivers
Washington State Patrol say a man driving the wrong way on a state highway crashed head-on into a second vehicle south of Ritzville, killing both drivers.
WSP says the crash happened late Friday on Route 395 about 25 miles south of Ritzville.
Authorities say 24-year-old Justin R. Kelly, of Newman Lake, was traveling southbound in a northbound lane when his pickup truck smashed into a car driven by 27-year-old Matthew D. Wade, of Stanfield.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
It’s unclear whether alcohol or drugs was involved in the crash and authorities are still investigating.
