Women spotlight strong female voices through new fashion line
Two women in their twenties are trying to start a different conversation about women.
29-year-old Alinia Landi and 25-year-old Courtney Hellendrung are working out of each other’s basements to make their dream of sustainable fashion come to life.
They are doing this by creating designs dedicated to powerful women in history, like British mathematician Joan Clarke.
“The woman who solved the Nazi enigma in World War II, it says ‘I solve my own problems.'”
They hope to expand their business through a crowdfunding campaign and in return, expand people’s knowledge.
