Woman Killed, Man Wounded In Tacoma Shooting

TACOMA, WA — A woman was killed and a man seriously wounded in a shooting at a Tacoma fourplex in the Salishan community.

Police spokesman Thomas Williams told The News Tribune of Tacoma the couple had been staying with residents for nearly a week. The residents returned home about 4 a.m. Tuesday and found the victims.

Williams says the 29-year-old woman died at Tacoma General Hospital of multiple gunshot wounds and the 23-year-old man is in serious condition with multiple wounds in the pelvis.

Williams says a toddler and an infant were found asleep in another room and were not injured.

Investigators say they have no witnesses or motive for the shooting.
