Woman, dog survive house fire in Liberty lake
LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — One woman and a dog survived a house fire that sparked Sunday night at a home in Liberty Lake.

According to the Spokane Valley Fire Department, it happened on the 1300 block of Wright Blvd. Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other homes, but the house it started at was seriously damaged.
SVFD said one woman escaped with her dog when she smelled smoke.
Crews will spend the rest of the evening mopping up and investigating the cause of the fire.
