Woman arrested in shooting death of Orofino woman
OROFINO, Idaho — UPDATE: 31-year-old Jessica L. Colpitts, of Orofino, was arrested Tuesday on a First Degree Murder charge in the shooting death of 23-year-old Samantha S. Fignani.
Colpitts is currently being held at the Clearwater County Jail without bond.
Three search warrants have been served in the Orofino area since the shooting and the investigation remains open and active.
A woman who was shot at a home in Orofino was transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
On Monday at 7:20 p.m., police responded to 12732 Laqa Avenue for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, the officers found 23-year-old Samantha S. Fignani of Orofino, who had been shot.
She was transported to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
A warrant to search the home where the shooting occurred was received.
No suspects have been arrested at this time.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
An autopsy was performed Tuesday morning on Fignani, but no results are available at this time.
