…WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY
EVENING…
* WHAT…Heavy snow possible. Plan on difficult travel conditions.
Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches in the valleys, with
mountain accumulations up to 18 inches, are possible.
* WHERE…Republic, Inchelium, Wauconda, Chesaw Road, Highway 20
Wauconda Summit, Boulder Creek Road, Sherman Pass, Leavenworth,
Mazama, Twisp, Winthrop, Stehekin, Conconully, Blewett Pass,
Loup Loup Pass, Omak, Okanogan, Brewster, Bridgeport, Oroville,
Nespelem, and Disautel Pass.
* WHEN…Light snow will begin late tonight and intensify on
Sunday. Steady snow will taper off to snow showers Sunday
evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Travel approaching and across area mountain
passes will be difficult. Significant reductions in visibility
are possible.
