Winter Storm Socks Latah County
A winter storm has hit Latah County like a hammer blow, dropping visibility to near whiteout conditions and prompting the Idaho State Police to ask people to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.
US-95 has seen a number of accidents throughout Tuesday, including one case where several semi trucks got stuck, followed by a tow truck which got stuck trying to get the semis un-stuck.
The Idaho State Police issued an advisory early Tuesday afternoon asking people not to travel on the roads unless it was necessary. Visibility in some places is down to as little as 100 yards.
