Winter storm knocks out power for hundreds in Latah Valley

SPOKANE, Wash. — Thursday’s winter storm has knocked out power in the Latah Valley neighborhood in southeast Spokane.
Avista reports that nearly 1,300 customers are affected from the outage, which was first reported around 3:25 in the afternoon.
The cause of the outage is under investigation, but crews are on scene and estimate that power will be restored by 6:15 Thursday evening.
