Whitworth University receives Military Friendly School designation

SPOKANE, Wash. — Whitworth University earned a bronze distinction 2020-2021 Military Friendly School designated by Viqtory Media for the fourth consecutive year, the university announced Tuesday. ‘Military Friendly Schools’ is the most thorough educational resource for veterans and their families.
Schools receiving the bronze designation scored within 30% of the 10th best school in its category.
“It is a tremendous honor to be recognized for the fourth straight year as a university that values our military,” Whitworth’s assistant director of Veterans outreach Phil Labrie said in a release. “Whitworth works so hard to demonstrate our appreciation and gratitude to the men and women who have served and defended everyone’s right to an education.”
Whitworth is approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs to serve veterans and their families under programs like the Post-9/11 GI Bill, Yellow Ribbon, Montgomery GI Bill, Veterans Educational Assistance, Survivors & Dependents Assistance, and Military Tuition Assistance.
Over 1,000 schools participated in the Military Friendly School 2020-2021 survey with 695 earning designation.
