Where’s Woody? Family desperate to find sentimental toy donated by mistake

LOON LAKE, Wash. — Nearly every child has that special toy they wouldn’t trade for anything in the world. For 6-year-old Owen, his Woody doll from Toy Story has been with him through five open heart surgeries. The Woody doll is from the 90s and has Owen’s name written on one of the boots.
Woody went missing recently and Owen said he last saw the doll inside a red cooler. His family then realized the cooler had been donated to John’s Thrift Store in Loon Lake. The store’s owner remembers someone buying Woody, and now the family is desperate to get him back.
“We told [Owen] we finally figured out we had donated him and he was pretty sad and said that he hoped that whoever bought him played with him like he did,” said Owen’s grandmother, Valerie May.
The family is offering to buy Woody’s new owner a different doll. May posted the story on Facebook – it has been shared more than 1,000 times.
