Washington Republicans Rallying Around McCain
WASHINGTON (AP) — Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers has joined a small group of Washington Republican leaders who are endorsing Arizona Sen. John McCain for president.
McMorris Rodgers, who represents Eastern Washington, calls McCain a true American hero with the experience and convictions to lead the nation.
She says McCain is a staunch and unwavering defender of America’s national security and will continue to protect the country from threats at home and abroad.
In Eastern Washington, McCain recognizes the important role the four Snake River dams play in the Northwest and has pledged to join her in working to protect the dams, McMorris Rodgers said Friday.
Washington Reps. Doc Hastings and Dave Reichert also are endorsing McCain.
