Washington officials need your help finding a historical plaque stolen from the state’s Capitol

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washington State Patrol troopers need your help finding a missing Capitol Campus Historical Marker, stolen earlier this month.
The marker was placed on the west campus by the Daughters of the American Revolution 96 years ago to commemorate the state’s first territorial governor, Isaac Stevens.
Officials believe it was stolen sometime in the week of May 11. They say someone pried the metal plaque off of the stone.
If anyone has information, they are asked to contact WSP Trooper Nick Castro at (360) 596-3990.
