Upcoming fundraiser vital to supporting Meals on Wheels programs

Meals on Wheels raises money through “Cinna-gram” deliveries

SPOKANE, Wash. — A Meals on Wheels Spokane fundraiser will do much more than deliver a sweet surprise to your friends and family members.

Meals on Wheels is once again partnering with Cinnabon and other donors to deliver Cinn-a-gram packages full of treats on Valentine’s Day. The annual fundraiser does more than brighten the holiday. It’s an important fundraiser that supports senior programs throughout the year.

The money that pays for each Cinn-a-gram will provide a week of hot nutritious meals for Meals on Wheels clients, according to a press release. Last year more than 1,300 Cinn-a-grams were purchased to help provide more than 9,000 meals.

The delivery includes a personal message, two Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, a ceramic mug, coffee, chocolate and other assorted goodies.Each package costs $35. Orders will be accepted until February 7. To order, call 509-456-6597 or click here.

People can also support the cause by volunteering to deliver the Cinn-a-gram or assemble the packages. It takes more than 100 volunteers to make this event a success.
