Unprecedented success for Idaho first responder fundraiser

POST FALLS, Idaho — A North Idaho nonprofit dedicated to supporting the men and women who serve the community celebrated record success after an indoor charity ride and silent auction earlier this month at The Peak Health and Wellness Center in Post Falls.
The Kootenai County Police and Fire Memorial Foundation announced Friday that the community helped them raise $34,000 for their cause.

The foundation awards grants to Kootenai County police officers and firefighters who need financial help when they get sick or injured, or for their families when the job turns deadly.
