U of I kicks off ‘Summer Cinema’ series, hosting movie nights all summer long

MOSCOW, Idaho — All summer long, University of Idaho will be hosting movie nights where they will screen throwback films, action flicks, thrillers and comedies every weekend.

U of I is kicking off their Summer Cinema series June 18. Movies will be screened either at the ‘Screen on the Green’ event at the Theophilus Tower Lawn or the Moscow Drive-In, located at the ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center parking lot.

Movies start around 9 p.m. Admission is free and free popcorn will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is bad weather at the Theophilus Tower Lawn, U of I says the movie will be moved indoors to the Borah Theater in the Bruce M. Pittman Center.

  • The Goonies, Friday, June 18 at Moscow Drive-In
  • Field of Dreams, Friday, June 25 at Moscow Drive-In
  • Raya and the Last Dragon, Thursday, July 1 at Screen on the Green
  • Stand by Me, Friday, July 9 at Moscow Drive-In
  • The War with Grandpa, Friday, July 16 at Screen on the Green
  • Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Friday, July 23 at Moscow Drive-In
  • Godzilla vs. Kong, Friday, July 30 at Screen on the Green
  • Grease, Friday, August 6 at Moscow Drive-In
  • In the Heights, Friday, August 13 at Screen on the Green
  • Knives Out, Friday, August 20 at Screen on the Green
  • Wonder Woman 1984, Saturday, August 21 at Screen on the Green
  • A Quiet Place Part II, Thursday, August 26 at Screen on the Green
