Tuesday’s Special Election Results
SPOKANE – The first results are in for Tuesday’s special election as 285 of 285 precincts are reporting in their results.
The measure requesting to continue the one-tenth of one percent sales tax that goes to upkeep at Juvenile Detention Facilities and Jails in the county passed by a vote of 50,803 to 29,644.
The $33 million bond to improve existing Spokane county libraries and construct new ones failed by a vote of 8,186 to 10,110.
The proposition for a library administration building known as the Greater Spokane Valley Library Capital Facility Area failed by a vote of 8,889 to 9,357.
Almost all the school levy bonds passed, except for the Mead School District technology and portable classrooms capital levy and the St. John School District replacement maintenance and operation levy.
