Truck Loaded With Valentine’s Day Flowers Catches Fire On I-84

MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (AP) — A semi-truck loaded with flowers for Valentine’s Day caught on fire near an Interstate 84 weigh station, forcing police to shut down one lane of traffic.

Authorities say the accident slowed eastbound traffic early Monday morning in a section between Boise and Mountain Home.

Police say the truck was loaded with prepackaged flowers to be delivered at locations in Pocatello.

Boise fire investigators say the fire started in the truck’s refrigeration unit. The blaze destroyed the entire load of flowers with a value estimated at more than $50,000.
