Town totals: Areas of the Inland Northwest see more than 2 feet of snow in the past week

SPOKANE, Wash. — After a slow start to winter, the Inland Northwest has gotten its fair share of snow…. and more is on the way!

Since January 10, several cities across the region have reported more than a foot, and in some cases two feet, of snowfall.

The National Weather Service in Spokane provided the following snow totals to 4 News Now:

Spokane Airport – 16.9 inches
Coeur d’Alene – 14.5 inchces
Pullman – 14.2 inches
Sandpoint – 22 inches
Priest River -29.2 inches

With the exception of the Spokane Airport, the city totals come from cooperative observers who report once a day. The NWS said they report in the evening, so these numbers likely do not include all the snow that fell on Thursday evening and overnight into Friday.

Snow is not expected Friday afternoon, but more is likely on the way Saturday. Weather Forecaster Mark Peterson said to expect between 1-3 inches of new snow.

Conditions will dry then dry up and make for a slushy Sunday.
