Titans reportedly give Lewan richest OL deal ever
Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan has reportedly agreed to a contract that would be the richest ever for an offensive lineman.
The 27-year-old, who is entering his fifth season in the NFL, inked a five-year, $80 million extension that includes $50 million guaranteed, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported, citing a league source.
That would make the contract the highest both in terms of average annual value and guarantees.

Although the Titans announced the deal on Friday, the team did not disclose the financial terms of the extension.
Lewan, who was selected with the 11th overall pick in the 2014 draft out of Michigan, earned a spot in the Pro Bowl the past two seasons.
Before Lewan’s deal, the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL was New York Giants left tackle Nate Solder, who signed a four-year, $62 million deal with $35 million guaranteed in March.
When it comes to guarantees, Trent Williams of the Washington Redskins previously led the league among offensive lineman with $41.3 million in guarantees in the deal he signed in 2015.
