Tip leads to ‘SpongeBob Robber’ arrest

Thanks to a tip, Coeur d’Alene Police arrested a man in connection to the Lean Bean Espresso ‘Spongebob’ robbery on January 30.
Police arrested 24-year-old Kyle Ernest Campbell of Worley, Idaho for around 10:00 Friday night.
The man who robbed the espresso stand was hard to identify because he was wearing a SpongeBob SquarePants mask.
Detectives received a tip that led them to identify Campbell as the suspect in the robbery.
Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department and the Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police assisted Coeur d’Alene Police Detectives in serving the warrant at Campbell’s home. Detectives located a SpongeBob SquarePants mask at his home that is believed to be the same mask that Campbell wore during the robbery.
