Three Salmonella Cases Confirmed In Yakima
YAKIMA, Wash. — State health authorities confirm that three Yakima County food poisoning cases last month came from tainted tomatoes.
The three involved the same salmonella bacteria linked to more than 600 cases nationwide.
A Yakima county health official, Marianne Patnode, says all three people have recovered.
While the immediate scare may be over, health officials say consumers should always thoroughly wash all fresh produce.
