This year’s Gerber baby is the first with Down syndrome

Meet Lucas, this year’s Gerber Baby! For the first time in the company’s 90 year history, the baby has Down syndrome. The original Gerber Baby Ann Turner Cook celebrated her 90th birthday in 2016. A sketch of her at four months old was entered into the company’s search for the face for its baby food. Ann was two at the time of the contest.
