The warmest weather of the season is on the way for Friday! -Kris
Friday has the potential to be the warmest day in Spokane since last October! Afternoon highs will climb into the mid 50s and even lower 60s in some locations. More good news, mostly sunny skies are in the forecast for most of the day on Friday.
Then things start to change. A cold front will cross the area late Friday evening. There’s only a slight chance of rain or snow showers in the valleys with this front, but there’s a good chance of snow in the Idaho Panhandle Mountains. Breezy winds on Saturday and cooler weather will be the main impacts with the front’s passage. In the instability behind the front on Saturday, there’s a possibility of some convective showers producing some graupel or even an isolated thunderstorm with small hail. We will get a break from the unsettled weather on Sunday, but rain and snow showers will return for Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures next week will be right around average, which is in the mid 40s.
