The Blissful Whisk offering cookie decorating classes for kids and adults this fall

Baking can get pretty messy. Add sticky frosting and sprinkle spills to decorate and forget it!

The Blissful Whisk in Spokane Valley is offering budding bakers of all ages the opportunity to get creative in the kitchen with cookie decorating. Leave cleaning up the mess to them!

Coming off the heels of a successful summer of cookie and cake pop decorating for kids, the Blissful Whisk is adding adult classes to their calendar. Four times a month, the Spokane Valley bake shop will open their “class kitchen” for fun, themed cookie decorating classes. Cookies will be baked prior and attendees will be given four cookies to get creative with. Don’t worry, there will be instructors to help guide you!

Each cookie decorating session runs for one hour and costs $25. You can sign up by contacting The Blissful Whisk on Facebook or Instagram. You could also sign up at their location, 1612 North Barker Road.

The Blissful Whisk opened their North Barker Road location in May. The owner was trained at Spokane Community College as a pastry chef and said she wanted a place that she could easily walk to. In an effort to keep everything as local as possible, she sells Twenty-Seventh Heaven bread and Spokandy, in addition to her mouth-watering pastries, cupcakes and cookies. Most of her staff as her former classmates at Spokane Community College as well.
