The Amazon fulfillment center on the West Plains is officially open

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Amazon fulfillment center on the West Plains is officially open.
The new center will employee more than 2,000 people and newly hired employees had their first day on Sunday. Employees at the 640,000 square foot fulfillment will pick, pack and ship orders to people across the Spokane area, Inland Northwest and beyond.
To commemorate the opening, Amazon donated $25,000, as well as in-kind products, to Second Harvest Food bank.
“We are excited to welcome so many new Amazonians to our team here in Spokane,” said Andy Parra, Director of Operations at the facility. “We’re incredibly inspired by the spirit of this community and we are proud to support organizations like Second Harvest that help those in need by tirelessly providing nutritious meals and essential services in the Spokane area.”
