Ten Idahoans affected by E. coli outbreak linked to romaine lettuce
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently expanded its warning about an E. coli outbreak connected to romaine lettuce to cover all forms of romaine lettuce. The CDC is now reporting that ten people in Idaho have been affected as of April 18, 2018. One person in Washington has been affected.
You are advised to not buy or eat any romaine lettuce. If you have already purchased romaine lettuce, you should throw it away.
As of now, the CDC thinks the E. Coli outbreak is linked to romaine lettuce from the Yuma, Arizona growing region. However, no common grower, supplier, distributor, or brand has yet been identified.
