Take your dogs to cool off at Paws in the Pool!

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — August 28th marks the official dog day of the summer.

With temperatures expected to be warmer on Sunday, it will be a great time to take your furry friend and cool off somewhere.

Lucky for you, Paws in the Pool is happening at the Valley Mission Pool. The annual event from Spokane Valley Parks & Recreation gives your pupper a chance to relax and cool down.

Dogs that weigh 65 pounds or less can go to the park from 10-11 a.m. Dogs 66 pounds and more can go to the park from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

It costs $5 for your dog to cool off. Two dogs per owner are allowed at the park. Your dog must be at least six months old and have current vaccination records available. Dogs must also be spayed or neutered.

A veterinarian will be at the event to check vaccination records and assist as needed.
