Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier killed in training accident
TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - Officials say a soldier died Sunday in a training area of Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state.The News Tribune reports 23-year-old Spc. Drew Watters of Evansville, Indiana, was killed during a training accident, according to the 7th Infantry Division.The division said in a news release that the cause of death is under investigation.Further details about what happened were not released.
