Swanson Lake Fire Under Control, But Not Out
CRESTON – Fire crews say the Swanson Lake Fire has burned a total of 19,000 acres as of Thursday and one home, two cabins and 15 outbuildings have also been destroyed.
The mandatory evacuation order is no longer in place.
The fire is south of Miles-Creston Road, east of Swanson Lake and west of Hawk Ranch Road.
For now roads are open in the area, but firefighters are warning people to stay out of the burned area.
