Suspected criminals crash car trying to get away from police

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Police Department responded to reports of an assault Sunday night.
It happened on the 1400 block of E Hartson Ave. Police received multiple calls saying three people were assaulting a man. When someone tried to intervene, police were told the attackers threatened to shoot him/her.
Once officers were eventually able to track them down near Libery Park. Once they approached the three people inside, they immediately took off.
While driving away from police, they eventually crashed into a car between 4th and Altamont. All three of them, including the driver that was hit, were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At this time, police say at least one of the attackers involved will be facing felony charges. Their names have not yet been released.
Officers believe the assault was random or that the attackers had targeted the wrong person.
As of right now, the investigation is still ongoing.
