Sunny and warm Sunday followed by afternoon rain and gusty winds – Katerina

SPOKANE, Wash. – It was a gorgeous Saturday across the Inland Northwest with temperatures in the 70s and 80s! Those sunny skies will return for Sunday, but not for long.
A cold front is expected to pass through the region Sunday afternoon into Monday. This front will bring us strong north to northeast winds with gusts up to 40 mph. We also have a small chance to see showers and thunderstorms between 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. This could include heavy rain, small hail, and lightning. There will likely also be areas of blowing dust Sunday evening in the lower Columbia Basin.
This cold front will drop our temperatures down dramatically for the beginning of our work week. Expect sunshine on and off throughout the week. The next chance for precipitation enters the forecast on Saturday.
