Street Music Week kicks off Monday

SPOKANE, Wash. — The 19th annual Street Music Week kicks off Monday.
After going virtual in 2020 because of the pandemic, this year’s event will bring musicians back to the sidewalks in downtown Spokane, the Garland District and along Sherman Avenue in Coeur d’Alene. However, following last year’s success, the Street Music Team has decided to keep a virtual component to the event and will stream performances on Facebook.
Street Music Week is a fundraiser that directly benefits 2nd Harvest. Last year’s online event raised more than $27,000, boosting the overall event total to nearly $275,000.
Musicians will perform every day through Friday around noon. Money can be donated at performances or online here.
“We welcome your participation, whether you’re a performer or a community member who cares about feeding the hungry,” said founder Doug Clark. “And we’re looking forward to making the sidewalks sing again.”
