Stop and smell the lavender at Evening Light Lavender’s annual U-Pick Lavender Festival
DEER PARK, Wash. — If you like the smell of lavender, then you will love this event. Saturday and Sunday, Evening Light Lavender will host their annual u-pick lavender festival at their farm in Deer Park.
Not only can you collect more lavender than your arms can carry, afterward, stick around for live music and food vendors who will use a whole lot of lavender in their ingredients.
Sandra Shuff, owner of Evening Light Lavender said, “outside of what’s in the store, which has tons of lavender things, at the festival we have some special things. Only two days out of the whole year, you can get lavender doughnuts. You can get lavender lemonade, you can get lavender ice tea, lavender ice cream!”
There will also be a scavenger hunt through the lavender fields for the kids in addition to other fun games and activities.
Admission is $5. Lavender bouquet prices vary.
If you plan on sampling different lavender products and participating in the U-Pick, Evening Light Lavender has created a $25 U-Pick package that allows you to skip lines and go home with a commemorative t-shirt. VIP packages must be purchased online before the event.
