Stocks Starts Week In The Red
NEW YORK (AP) – Stock prices are lower as the market opens its final session of 2007.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 45 points in Monday’s early going.
The Nasdaq Composite Index is off 11 points and the Standard & Poor’s 500 Stock Index is down 5 points.
Investors are awaiting the latest on the housing market as the National Association of Realtors releases its November report on existing home sales. The outlook is for a slight increase following last week’s news that new home sales fell last month.
With little else on Monday’s schedule, traders will be looking to wrap up the year and lock in their gains.
