Stocks Head For Lower Open After Big Drop
NEW YORK (AP) — It could be another down day on Wall Street.
The Dow Jones industrial average futures fell 57 to 11,405 in early trading Friday while the Standard and Poor’s 500 index futures and Nasdaq futures are also off.
Bond prices have edged higher.
On Thursday, the Dow plunged nearly 360 points amid a storm of bad news, including an oil price runup. Today crude has been up above $142 a barrel.
The Commerce Department is due to report on personal income and spending Friday. And investors will be probing the figures for clues on where the economy is headed.
