SR 20 closed due to rockslide

SR 20 is closed at MP 121 between Newhalem and Diablo due to a rockslide.

It is currently unknown when the highway will reopen.

Travelers are not able to go around the slide due to the amount and size of rocks that fell.

WSDOT is bringing in heavy equipment to break and haul off the rocks.

They are working to safely get people stuck behind rock slide out and then will continue clearing efforts.
