Spokane women run marathon to honor John Oakley
Three women from Spokane ran in the Boston Marathon Monday, to honor the late John Oakley.
Oakley passed away after a battle with ALS.
Angela Smith and Stacy Ferney, pictured above, taught with John at Sacajawea Middle School in Spokane.
The two told John months before he passed that they were going to make shirts to honor him.
Stacy’s twin sister also ran in the marathon, and wore a shirt to honor John.
