Spokane Valley Fire Dept. to practice ice rescue drills at Newman Lake
The lessons will continue for three days.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — The Spokane Valley Fire Department is conducting ice rescue training at Lake Newman this week.
From January 22-24, firefighters will train at the public boat launch on the east side of Newman Lake. The lessons will begin at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on all three days, with the live victim retrieval training beginning an hour later each session.
