Spokane Valley Detectives looking for suspect who stole handgun from pawn shop

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Investigative Unit Detectives need help identifying a suspect that reportedly stole a handgun from a pawn shop.
Spokane Valley Deputies responded to a call of a stolen firearm at American Pawn and Gun at 8112 E. Sprague Ave. on January 10.
Employees noticed a revolver was missing from one of their gun cases, determining that it was not sold to or held for a customer. Looking back at security footage, they found a recording from January 7, showing a customer reaching over the counter and stealing the gun from the case while the employee was not looking.
The man then spoke with the employee for a while, then left with the stolen gun in his pocket.
The suspect is described as a white man in his late 30s, standing around six-foot two-inches, between 225-240 pounds with brown hair and a brown beard. In the security footage, he drove what appeared to be a white, late-90s or early-2000s Toyota Tacoma.
Crime Stoppers is now offering a reward for anyone with information that can help identify the suspect or provide information related to the theft. They are urged to call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-800-222-TIPS or submit online.
