SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Produce Inc. has initiated a voluntary recall of their Northwest Cuisine Creations, Fresh& Local Sandwiches containing green leaf lettuce. The items were distributed to grocery stores across Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Oregon.
The company stated in a release today that the items “may be contaminated with Escherichia coli,” or E. coli, and encourages anyone who has purchased these items bearing the “best buy 12/14/18-12/21/18” to throw them out or return them immediately.
Below are a list of sandwiches listed in the recall.
“We are taking extreme precautionary measures,” Dan Petek, Spokane Produce spokesperson said in the release. “To date, there have been no cases of E. coli or contamination from any Adam Bros. green leaf lettuce. In complete regard for the public at large and our customers, we believe it is prudent at this point to be proactive and call in all product.”
The company added that the recalls follow the national recall from Adam Bros. Farming Inc. based in Santa Monica, Calif.
