Spokane pools are going to the dogs for charity event

The City of Spokane is giving your dog a chance to cool off at city pools to raise money for a local dog park.

City of Spokane Parks and Recreation is partnering with SpokAnimal to raise money for the High Bridge Dog Park with the annual Doggie Dip event. It’s happening August 26-30.

Dog owners can pre-register for one or more of the Doggie Dips here or bring $10 to the pool the day of each event. The city says drop-ins are welcome.

Dogs must be well-mannered, healthy, and with an owner who has proof of an up-to-date rabies vaccination. Only dogs will be allowed in the pool during Doggie Dip.

Here’s the schedule of Doggie Dips and locations:

Comstock: 8/26 3:30-5:00 p.m.

Shadle: 8/27 5:30-7:00 p.m.

Hillyard: 8/28 5:30-7:00 p.m.

A.M. Cannon: 8/29 5:30-7:00 pm.

Liberty: 8/30 5:30-7:00 p.m.
