Spokane police searching for person of interest in school trespassing

Spokane Public Schools and the Spokane Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person wanted for trespassing on school property.

The person of interest is not a student within the Spokane District, and is estimated to be between 16 and 22 years old. According to Kevin Morrison of District 81, this person broke into the boys locker room at North Central High School on January 17, January 25, and February 1.

The person broke into lockers using a bolt cutter and stole wallets, cell phones, tablets, clothing, watches, drivers licenses, and debit cards.

The January 17 incident occurred at 9:19 in the morning, and the January 21 incident occurred between 1:30 and 2:30 in the afternoon.

The school district says there is enough probable cause to arrest the person on felony charges.

“We’ve got good video of the suspect, and so we think that we will be able to identify him fairly quickly,” said Mark Sterk, Campus Safety Director. “Then it will just be the question of how do we locate him and make the arrest. But we will make the arrest.”

If you recognize this person or can provide a location for their vehicle, you are asked to call 509-354-SAFE and reference report #2018-20021136.
