Spokane police release names of officers in incident with suicidal man

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department has released the names of the officers involved in the incident that took place on May 7 in the area of Farivew Avenue and Perry Street.

During the incident, Lieutenant McCabe, Corporal Van Tassel, and Officer Cedeno used firearms, and Officer Yen deployed a taser while confronting a man armed with a knife.

29-year-old Terry C. Wallette charged at people with a knife, and did not comply when officers attempted to apprehend him.
